CR News & Updates / Closing Chat Resort Early

The only rooms that will be left there is the "Private Rooms that was purchased" until the date that I mentioned originally in closing.

Because of this one being a much older setup and no longer going to be getting updates. So the main one I had setup before was on two different sites. One was not shown to the public however and was on another domain. Very few knew about it only because it's not something I was trying to push. The other was on Chat Resort which was the VIP Chat part option. Much different. I decided to play with another option, but please keep in mind it's entirely different setup. It's a social media style setup, meaning Text Based style, with profiles where your avatar and information can be shown. Private messages are not even used in the "chat room" but directly to the person. Youtube, etc. can be posted in the rooms. The bigger view of the video can be dragged across the screen to help with the chatting part as well. This allows you to still chat but watch a video that is posted if you wish. Don't worry to those who are on a slower connection, the video won't load unless you click on the image it displays.
Keep in mind this setup basically see it as is. The logos are not all in place, colors are not entirely changed either. It's the basics with a few minor twists and turns here and there. This setup is also going to be used as a way as a backup place to chat if the current goes out and I'm not around to fix it right away. It will remain up to the point of the site closing as well.

So why did I bother setting this up? I'm a guy who likes all different takes on chat. I mean I been chat for years now. 20 years or so alone on Starlight Chat. That is not including Dark Realms and Chat Resort, and countless other sites I have called a home before forming SLC. So at some point in the future who knows what I might do or not. Or I might just put something up for those who wish to keep in touch later on down the road. *shrugs*...no real reason.

I’m really sorry that it bothers you that others go to different sites , but sometimes you need to go elsewhere to meet new people is My reasoning . I don’t own anywhere else and don’t really care to .
I’ve never thought your response time to any of the many problems I’ve troubled you with was slow or have I ever felt inconvenienced at all . I’m willing to work with you on whatever needs the site has .

Thank you, I do appreciate that you want to be able to help with some of the costs of the site to help keep it going. I have had a few offer the very same, even offering to want to run the sites while i just do the behind the work scenes. I just don't feel comfortable doing that honestly. And as I pointed out the chat server is becoming much harder to deal with as things are being updated around older software. The only way that could happen is if I find someone whom would write a new for a decent enough price. If I was to stumble upon something for that nature, I would be willing to do something of a donation thing if I felt it would gather enough. If I knew the sites would benefit from that I would look a bit more deeper but honestly I think a lot of the sites running this setup has started to take a dip.
I always have tried to be prompt when responding to people and concerns on the site. But even I know I been a little extra behind that usual. But thank you again for the kind words.

Thank you so much for letting us know what's going on ..
Even though I don't own the room … the "owner" has disappeared …. I would be more than willing to take over Sanctuary .. and pay whatever dues there are to do that
I believe I've mentioned before .. I love this site .. it's very well run … however saying that .. I also understand how you feel .. I haven't moved sites … I'm hanging on in the hopes you have second thoughts
